LED hanging lamp Joka – innovative lighting in terms of design and technologyA totally innovative design concept lies at the heart of the Joka LED hanging lamp. A curved aluminium profile combines with a broader, similarly curved aluminium panel to create an interesting piece that appears to float above the dining table, and that looks nothing like a traditional light. On the one hand, the two elements appear to be repelling each other; but then they also seem to be mutually dependent. And this becomes most clear when Joka emits its warm white light. The hanging lamp creates both direct and indirect lighting; ensuring that the entire surroundings are filled with light. A total of eight Citizen LEDs sit in the square aluminium tube. Six of these lights create direct area lighting below; whilst two additional LEDs shine upwards for a decorative light effect. The decorative panel, which sits above the LED profile and features a golden metal leaf finish, is illuminated by the indirect-shining LEDs and perfectly staged. The glossy gold finish of the upper panel shine in the warm white light and dominates the look of the lamp, whilst also creating a fine contrast to the subtle nickel colour of the profile itself.But it is not just the design of the LED hanging lamp Joka that is innovative: The steel cable affixed to the side of the body of the light also looks extraordinary, especially when compared with standard cable on other lamps. And, as hard as it is to believe, the two inconspicuous chrome balls, which are situated roughly halfway between the light and canopy, hide a mechanism for adjusting the height of the lamp. Simply tilt the balls slightly to the side and the lamp can be raised or lowered. True to the motto "all good things come in threes", this lamp offers a third plus point: namely the dimmable LEDs. From brightly shining to dimly lit cosiness; the Joka hanging lamp can fulfil all brightness requirements when connected to a leading edge or trailing edge dimmer.Made in Germany.
